October, November, December and January Ipsy Glam Bag.

i have had alot goin on lately so im goin to combine a few of my glam back reviews and i have had quite a while to try them

October ipsy Glam bag: Beauty candy.

This Months items came in a light blue waffle pattern Make up bag. I like the bag it seems heavy duty, so its one i will end up keeping and not give it away with any of my ebay auctions.

Item 1: Epice International Purifying exfoliant. 3.3 oz $32.00 epiceinternational.com (3 samples for $5.00 will include the exfoliant, a cleanser, and moisturizer 0.5 oz)

This came as a pretty decent size sample and i am a sucker for a good exfoliant; as the winter months likes to give me dry skin patches on my face.  Once a week i like to do a good exfoliant and i make sure to moisturize well before putting on any make up.

Item 2: Figs And Rouge rose berry hand cream. 20ml $6.12 feelunique.com

As most of you can tell from reading my ipsy reviews, im a big fan of hand creams.  I especially love the ones that you get in the ipsy bag, they are small and purse size, they are great quality, and they work great. i love the smell of this one, its not over powering, moisturizes great, and doesn't leave your hands greasy. this is a must try.


Item 3: ModelCo VolumEyes Extreme black mascara. $22.00 Modelcocosmetics.com

it was a nice sized sample. I was overall unimpressed with this mascara, i feel that it did not give me any volume.  I got a Tarte lights camera lashes in my december glam bag, and i absolutely love it, it is my number 1 mascara. the modelco fails in comparison to tarte light camera lashes. i use this mascara when im going for an natural look with no eyeliner or eyeshadow.

Item 4: Nicole by OPI Feeling Very Cherry.

i gave this away to a friend that really wanted it. i didn't use it so i have no review to give on the color. Nicole by opi in general is a good brand of polish in my opinion.

Item 5: Starlooks lip gloss. Starlooks.com

I like the neutral colored lip glosses, thats what i always tend to gravitate toward when i do pick out some new lip glosses at the store. This gloss is a bit tacky,  tend to put a balm or chapstick over it and that seems to help. All the the starlook products i have gotten in my ipsy bags have been great. Starlooks has alot of products that should be tried.

I was quite pleased with all the items in my bag for october. i was slightly disappointed with the mascara, but it may work for someone else. on to November!


November Ipsy Glam Bag

This Month had some good glam bag items in it and i feel that as the months went on the items got even better. Im just going to jump into this months items

Item 1: SeaRX moisturizing birch sap lotion. $32.00 seaRxbeauty.com

I absolutely Loved this lotion. I say loved, because  used it up within a week. It's smooth and not greasy, which is a must have in facial lotions.  The ingredients in this lotion strengthen and smooth the skin, as well as provide you with some great moisture that's long lasting. i would definitely pay the 32 dollars to have the full sized lotion.

Item 2: IT cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye. $24.00 itcosmetics.com

Hands down THE BEST concealer i have ever used. i will gladly pay 24 dollars for this product. It does wonders for the undereye area. it wont crease or settle into lines, it also has anti-aging ingredients in it, giving you a youthful look. there tag line for this product its "It's your 8 hours of sleep in a tube." and it is as it claims to be, i get up at 6am everyday and i look dead tired somedays, when i put my makeup on and use this concealer i looked absolutely refreshed. This is the only concealer i will use from now on!

Item 3: Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco argan oil volume shine hairspray

This hairspray smells great, and is great for your hair. Argan Oil, Keratin, and grape seed oil are among the wonderful ingredients that help give your hair strong flexiable hold, and nourishment. It also strengthens and conditions your hair as you use it. i love this hairspray, my friend always gives me her hairsprays it seems, so i got her marc anthony hairspray to add to my stash.

Item 4: J. Cat Beauty wonder lip paint $4.99 @ Ulta.com

I do like j.cat stuff, but i was not a fan of this lip paint right off the bat.  I thought it was advertised as something it was not. When i first tried this it was liquid-like and just gloss, so i put it down for a while because i was a little disappointed.  Thinking about it some time later i decided to look it up, and from some swatches i saw, mine was not looking like the others.  I did some research on it , and read some reviews and found out that some people also thought it was watery but other people said they loved it and it was long lasting.  I came to one review that put it all in perspective, first you should squeeze the tube to mix the product up so it comes out a little thicker. I Immediately went and grabbed it, squeezed it, and tried it again. It was Soooo much better after that. I haven't tried it on a night out or anything yet, but maybe i will on my birthday to see how it holds up.

Item 5: Starlooks Gem eye pencil in Ultra Olive $16.00 @ starlooks.com

I didn't try this pencil, because i was put off by the color.  I'm a straight black eye liner/pencil kind of girl.  I have tried pacifica eye pencil that was in a brown and i did like that it was good for a nice natural look, but its out of my comfort zone to do anything other then that. I do have other eye pencils in colors other than black, i just haven't built up the courage to try them yet. This Starlooks Pencil can be used as a eye liner or shadow base, i ended up giving it away to the friend i normally give or trade my ipsy stuff with.

November was a pretty great month, i discovered a cosmetic that, once gone i will no doubt buy again. My  must have from now on is the it cosmetics bye bye under eye, i don't think i can do my makeup the same without it.



December Ipsy Bag

In December's bag, i found 2 Products that i would buy again when i run out of them.  This month was quite good. Lets get Started shall we?

Item 1: Coolway Boost repair treatment

This is a really great product. Sometimes i shower before i go to bed if i have to be in to work early, when i do my hair is all crazy frizzy when i wake up. sometimes i have to wait for my hair to dry completely other times i cant, when i used this and went to bed with damp hair i woke up to non-frizzy hair. This is a must try product. 

Item 2: Tarte Deluxe Lights, Camera Lashes 4-n-1 Mascara

Hands down, the best mascara i have ever used.  I've used so many mascaras that claim to lengthen and volumize and to be blunt... they don't do shit.  Tarte's mascara lengthens my lashes, and make my lashes absolutely beautiful, all the other mascaras make my lashes look short and give them a little color and thats about it.  This is my must have mascara, i love it, the only other one i will use is maybelline volumeyes cat eyes. if im correct about that one, I'll have to double check and update accordingly.

Item 3: Crown Brush infinity shadow/crease duet brush

i use this brush everyday, its not to hard, its not to soft, it's just right. The crease end is the perfect size and i've always been able to put my shadow where i want and havent had the brush flatten to much where it would put it on my brow area i guess i'd call it. For me i feel like the shadow side feels big, i like a smaller brush so i dont accidently get it on my brow area; with with brush it puts it where it should and i usually dont have to dip in the shadow for more.  I'm gradually getting used to the size, i guess im just weird about brushes lol.

Item 4: Pixi By Petra

Alone i feel its like putting on nothing, i mixed it with my nyx morrocco and my lord did it look beautiful. Wet is where you would get the best color. Would i by this again? Probably not.

Item 5: NYX cosmetics butter lip balm.

i got this in marshmallow, and omg does it smell delicious!  Its a pure nude, goes on smooth and feels great on your lips. Its not very expensive either and is my go to balm. Definitely worth a try for the price.

January Ipsy Bag

there are 2 things i tried and 3 things i didnt.😞 it's not that I didn't want to, i just had other things i was trying from my glam bags so i could get caught up.

This is were i will end my reviews of the ipsy bag. I have many more to post about, but after a terrible customer service experience i have cancelled and will not be going back.

I have, however, started a new subscription called nadine west; where they ship you items every month, free of charge, and if you dont like some of the products you just ship them back in the envelope  they came in and fix the return label to the package and put it in your mailbox. I got 2 months of it so far and like it, reviews to come soon

December Loot Crate: Anniversary!!

Hello Everyone,

Forgive me for not posting this sooner, i had wrapped all the presents and started this blog and then never finished.  I thought i had but, seeing as there was no post i must have closed and forgot to save.  This months box was supposed to be the biggest, size wise, and boy did they deliver.  Everything in this crate i absolutely adored, especially the funko pop loot crate exclusive.


Item 1: Captain America Air Freshner

This is a classy way to make your car fresh.  I'm replacing the megaman one i got in one of the other boxes with this one, its a vanilla scent.

Item 2: EXCLUSIVE Dancing Groot Crew Socks.

I believe these are supposed to be a loot crate exclusive as well.  I was not sure on that so i went flipping threw the loot crate magazine that comes with every box, and flipped to the funko pop loot crate exclusive.  In front of that it also said exclusive so im guessing it is.  These socks are pretty cool looking, and i love my character/print socks.  I Can't wait to wear these socks, sadly i have not yet and i don't know why.

Item 3: Tetris Sticker Set.

This sticker set includes 147 puffy stickers in the shape of tetris pieces.  I'm not sure on what i want to do with the stickers yet, on the package it shows people making hearts and phrases with the tetris piece and that looks super cool.

Item 4: Exclusive Ghostbuster door hanger

It's been 30 years sense this movie came out, and loot crate gave a little something for the fan of ghostbusters with this door hanger.  I'm thinking not everyone got the same phrases on there door hanger, because the one pictured in the magazine, but i could be wrong.  On mine one side says "back off man i'm a scientist!" and the other side says, " Are you the keymaster?"  I hung that up right away.

Item 5:  Simpsons Cast Mighty Wallet.

At first glance i did not know that this was a wallet, i was taking pictures of everything when i opened the box and thought that it was just a poster folded into a square to save space.  I just happened to start looking at everything more throughly when i discovered upon taking it out of its plastic sleeve, that it was indeed a wallet.  It seems like a pretty well make wallet, i looked at the little sheet inserts inside the wallet pockets and discovered that this wallet is tear and water resistant.  This wallet expands as you fill it, it has 2 money pockets, 2 credit card pockets, and 2 business card pockets, and after 1 year of use it expands like any well loved wallet. Quite cool.

Item 6: Exclusive The Joker Batman-Batman POP! Vinyl Figure.

I was super excited when i opened the box and saw this.  I collect batman stuff and this will go well on top of my entertainment center with my other batman funko pop figure, my loot crate exclusive groot, and my daryl dixon.  I love these little funko pop figures and am super excited when  get one.  i dont know what else to say about this except that it is absolutely amazing.

Item 7: Exclusive Batman Comic Book Issue 36

This one has an exclusive loot crate cover.  The cover art was done by Greg Capullo.  I haven't opened the plastic on this.  Don't know if i will, Don't know if i want to.

Overall i'm head over heels for the December box.  Great lot of items came, well worth the 20 bux i spend a month on loot crate

i still have 2 month of the ipsy bag to review, but ill get to it when i get to it, i've had alot going on and i wouldn't want to bore anyone with it.

November Loot Crate : BATTLE!!!!

hello everyone,

im kinda behind here when it comes to my ipsy and loot crate, with work and the holidays, it can make it hard to keep up. I'm so excited about December's loot crate, it just got here today so im going to do this post, wrap some Christmas presents, and do December's crate. Honestly i was a tad bit disappointed with this box, and so far i've loved every crate I've gotten, but lets move on shall we.

item 1: Pirates vs Ninja shirt

Who doesn't love a little pirates vs ninja action, i know i do. its a mash up of a pirate and ninja with the use of words. It's quite cool.

Item 2: Assassin's Creed Unity Coin w/velvet pouch

this coin here was a loot crate exclusive.  On one side of the coin theres an empty spot to get your name engraved...if you want to go that far....i dont think that i would but others might, and thats a cool little extra on the coin.

Item 3: Mega Man Mini Helmet

I got the red helmet. you get the helmet and a stand....i believe this was another loot crate exclusive, per what the little magazine said.

Item 4: Halo Drop Ship Mini Figure.

This i was excited about. I collect these little halo figures and was excited to add another to my collection. there is not really to much to say about it, either way i love it.

Item 5: Street Fighter headband

This is the one item i really didnt care for, so i dont have much to say about it.


as always there was a few things for some digital loot, the little loot crate magazine, and the pin commemorating this months theme.  I'm probably going to get rid of most of the items in the November box.

Up next will be the December Loot Crate anniversary box. SO EXCITE!!!! then i will hopefully catch up on my ipsy glam bag and maybe have some knitting stuff to report on.

October loot crate: Fear!

I was super excited about this box because of the walking dead items. I love the walking dead, so this was a no brainer for me.

Item 1: death by kitten shirt.

This shirt has adorable kittens all over it, they are arranged into a skull pattern. I've worn it once and it's just awesome. I've been satisfied with every shirt I've gotten from loot crate.

Item 2: toxic waste candy

I havent tried this item,  but I do like sour candy. Win win

Item 3: sledgesaw hammer pen

This pen is so awesome! It's light weight, black ink, and the saw part is the pens cap. It writes smoothly, and is all around unique. This was a loot crate exclusive.

Item 4: how to survive a sharknado book.

I have not read the book yet, but I did flip through it and it looks very interesting and I cant wait to read it. It looks like a little survival guide for weird disasters, like the sharknado, bataclysm, boaricane, and more.

Item 5: oh brother art print by jsalvador

When i saw this print I was super excited.  I love the walking dead,  and daryl is my favorite character,  so this makes a nice item to add to my collection.  I'd eventually like to buy a frame to put it in and hang it up next to my gaming area.

Item 6: the walking dead issue 132

This issue had a loot crate exclusive cover. I have not read yet but I will.

Item 7: slashes and bites tattoos

Cool little temporary tattoos,.

Item 8:  smite giftcard

I dont know what this really is, but im not going to use it. Ill have to find someone who will

And as always,  the pin that commemorating this month's box and loot crate magazine was inside, the magazine cover was 3d so 3d glasses were included.  This month I also got a loot crate offical member card with my looter number on it, so kinda cool.

Im working on writing the post for November's box that had a halo item inside.

October ipsy glam bag!!!!

ok, I know I said I was going to do the loot crate October box before October ipsy, but I got a confirmation email today that said my bag had shipped.  I opened said email to track the glam bag and it looks like its going to be delivered tomarrow, because it actually shipped on the 6th..... Moving right along so that hopefully I can get 2 blogs posted tonight but im not sure how that's going to go.  I've been working some crazy hours as of late, and working 7 to 8 days in a row and I recently got sick so my energy level is at an all time low.  I also started selling some stuff on ebay for a little extra cash, and to get rid of things I don't need that Ive never seemed to use,...somehow..so lets get started.

My main problem with most mascara, is the flaking that happens with a lot of them. I don't have voluptuous lashes, but his mascara was pretty nice. It made my lashes look good, didn't clump, and i didn't really have to use my lash brush to separate my lashes.  I didn't really notice to much of a difference between it and the mascara i love (Maybelline the colossal volum' express cat eyes), and volumeyes, but i didn't only use it a few times and should of used it more for this review.  I do like it, but don't think i would pay the 20 bux to buy it again, but maybe the 8.99 amazon deal.

Rose Berry Figs and Rouge hand cream ($10-$30 on amazon.com various sizes, $6.56 20ml feelunique.com)

I'm all about some good hand creams, as anyone who lives here in Wisconsin with me would know(or any cold state), the cold takes a toll on your poor skin.  I like this one even better than last months, and i really like last months.  That being said, I think this would be a good hand cream for people who have dry skin should try.  I do suffer from dry skin and this make my hands feel so much better, not greasy and absorbs fast, as a bonus it smells fantastic. I highly recommend you try this.

Epice purifying exfoliant ($32.00 3.3 fl oz epiceinternational.com)

Could not find it cheaper anywhere else, but i didn't look to hard because i didn't see a significant difference between it and another exfoliant that i had.  I did only use the epice a few times so maybe that's not fair of me to say, but im not a big exfoliant fan, i know i should use them more for the sake of my skin, but i forget to do it the once a week that i should be but when i do remember i use an awesome Michael todd pumpkin facial mask that is way better than epice. That however is my opinion and some of you may love the epice exfoliant.  The Michael Todd does have glycolic acid in it and a little bit of something for exfoliant purposes, so sensitive skin people may want to stay away. However i did read that some people with sensitive skin tried it but left it on for only 2 minutes and it wasn't to bad.

Starlooks guilty pleasure lip gloss ($13.00 starlooks.com)

Love this lip gloss, bonus..It smells like cake! to me anyway. I love the way it goes on. Its nice and smooth and not sticky. Must try, their products are fantastic.

Nicole by opi, feeling very cherry

Ill admit I didnt try, or even swatch this.  Im having a heck of a time getting this salon gel manicure off, and im out of swatch wheels.  Right now I dont even know where it is lol.

All and all a good bag hopefully I'll get the next bag up sooner.

September lootcrate: Galactic

Hello everyone,

Sorry about the delay of September's lootcrate, I do already have October, so I can wait to get them both up.

I wouldn't say I was disappointed with this box, it had good items in it, but I was not familiar with the firefly show. I am happy with October's box so that made up for it. Lets go with the contents shall we?

Star trek tribble exclusive looter edition.

This little guy is cute and soft and definitely the highlight of the box. When I saw this guy in there I immediately opened it to play around with it. I eventually gave this to my friend whom is  huge trekkie, I know she will take good care of him.

Alien action figure.

I wasnt over the moon about this.  Its pretty cool, but I probably wont keep it. Not much else to say about it.

Firefly "mal" exclusive action figure.

I've never watched firefly so I really don't know what to say about this figure. Its made by funko, I do have one of the walking dead mystery minis, as well as their daryl dixon pop figure, the lootcrate exclusive groot pop figure from the heros box,and batman pop figure. I like the way they design the figures in the mystery minis and pop collections. I will definitely buy more without a doubt.

Firefly bank robbery money.

I got nothing.

Star wars exclusive retro arcade magnet.

I always love the magnets in these boxes, this one especially.  I love the retro style of this magnet,  takes you back to those arcade classics like space invaders and asteroids.

Hans solo encased In carbonite, need I say more. Pretty cool, just need to find a place to hang it.

Pop rocks candy.

It speaks for itself.

Bonus digital loot.

A digital code for dark horse comics halo escalation comics.  I have not used it yet, but its supposed to "give you your first taste" of the comic. I'm a halo fan so I will check it out.

As always there was a pin commemorating this box, and I do plan on keeping that.

Comming up is October's box, which had some real cool stuff inside.

Sally hansen insta gel strips update

Hello everyone

Im on my vacation,  so that means I should update you on my adventures with Using regular polish with the sally hansen insta gel strips kit. After a week I had minimal chips. Half of the chips I had came from trying to wrestle the ball away from the dog, the other half I would say was normal wear and tear. When it first started chipping away, it seemed more like it was wearing away, as wird as it sounds. I timk a couple coats of the gel topcoat works better than just one as well, I say this because it chipped away faster like I didn't even put it on so my friend took me for a mani and a pedi, and I got the opi gel on my nails sense mine were a pretty good length.  Overall,  I think that this is a good way to keep polish on for extended periods of time, if you don't want to go get your nails done.  I was quite happy with it, I just know that next time I need to try more coats of the gel.
